Today Google announced the redesign of Analytics.

We’ve been using this free software from the time it came out - over a year and a half ago. Overall it’s pretty solid, though it doesn’t pack the features some other software have. One of its main advantages was the integration with AdWords.

Recently, some small companies entered the marker, which shows there is still space for competition here. It looks like Google wanted to come up with some major update - they have been working on it for more than a year.

The new release looks very promising (take their tour). There are customizable screens, advanced reports and other nice features, but the new graphs really drive the attention. An even better integration with AdWords is also promised: “…shows you how search rank correlates with conversions and revenue for every keyword you buy”. Not a big surprise here, since Google makes about all of its money from advertising.
The new features are not active yet - they will be activated next weeks. I’ll keep you posted.
